Taking Root is knit in the round from the bottom up. Originally designed for the Augustbird Tea Time Club and knit out of the Bowerbird yarn in The Orange Earl Colorway.

  • YOTH Yarns Big Sister 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 231 yd / 211 m per 3.5 oz / 
  • 100 g skein; color: Avocado; 1 skein or approx 161 yd / 147 m of a dk weight wool or wool blend. 
  • Alternate Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino DK
  • 1 US6 / 4 mm 16” / 40 cm circular needle
  • 1 set of US6 / 4 mm double-pointed needles
  • Stitch marker
  • Cable needle
  • Tapestry needle

GAUGE 
22 sts/ 30 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette st on US6 / 4mm needles or size needed for accurate gauge.
